Busy Bees Nursery is situated on the doorstep of our company office in Bourne. We have been contracted with numerous jobs for the client, including refurbishing the existing bungalow, constructing three traditional Mongolian yurts to be used as an outdoor learning facility, and constructing a new car park.

Our first project for the client involved refurbishing an existing bungalow into a warm and welcoming day nursery for the community. The works consisted of stripping out all the outdated plumbing and electrics, an old kitchen, and the demolition of the internal walls. This made way for the new kitchen and utility room, new M&E in most of the building, and new decorations and flooring throughout the building.

The traditional Mongolian yurts, situated in the client’s ‘Forest School area’, were constructed from scratch and included a provision of power, which modernised the outdoor structure and created an exciting and interactive environment for the children to learn. Two environmentally conscious compostable toilets were also built to aid the project’s sustainability.

Finally, the client also asked for a new car park to help with the rise in demand for the new nursery, which we delivered to the client’s satisfaction.
